The Contractor Behind the Licence

A Class B general builder working two Northern California markets, with the office in Sacramento and crews across the Bay Area. Here is who you are actually hiring.

Who We Are

A Builder, Not a Broker

IronNest Construction is a licensed California general building contractor — CSLB #1130134, Class B — with its head office in Sacramento and crews working throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We carry general liability and workers' compensation cover, and we are bonded to the level the state requires of every licensed contractor.

The distinction that matters most to a homeowner is this: we do the work. A great deal of residential construction in California is sold by one company and performed by whoever was available that week. When you hire us, the people on site are our own licensed crews, the permits are pulled by us rather than by you, and the person who priced the job is the person you call when you have a question about it.

We work in two markets because they are genuinely different jobs. Sacramento is a heat-and-soil market: triple-digit summers, expansive clay, larger lots and wider scopes. The Bay Area is an age-and-access market: pre-war housing, hillside lots, serious plan check and no room to park a skip. Pricing, scheduling and detailing all change between the two, so we keep them as separate operations rather than pretending one set of assumptions covers both.

How We Work

What You Can Expect From Us

The four things clients tell us actually made the difference, written plainly so you can hold us to them.

A written fixed price, not a range

You get a line-item scope with a number against it before anything starts. If we find something behind a wall that nobody could have seen, you get a call and a revised number before we touch it — never a surprise on the final invoice.

We pull the permits

Permits are our job, not yours. We prepare the submittal, answer the plan-check comments and meet the inspector, across every jurisdiction we work in. A cheaper quote that skips the permit is not cheaper, it is a problem deferred to your closing date.

One point of contact

The same project manager from the first walkthrough to the final inspection. They know the scope, they know the building department, and they call you when something changes rather than after it has.

Our own crews

The people on your property work for us. That is what lets us stand behind the workmanship, and it is why we can tell you on day one who will be there on day thirty.
