The project
Years of water running off the exterior stair had rotted the siding below it, leaving soft, broken boards and peeling paint.
We removed about 130 sq ft of damaged siding, installed new boards matched as closely as possible to the existing profile, and sealed roughly 80 sq ft of the surrounding wall. On the lower section we carefully detached the downspout, replaced two damaged panels and re-secured the gutter assembly.
Everything was primed and painted to match, so the repair blends into the rest of the house.
