What Separates Good Concrete Work from Bad
Subgrade compaction and base preparation — the foundation under the concrete
Correct mix design for application — 3,000 to 4,500 PSI as needed
Control joint placement to prevent random cracking
Broom, exposed aggregate, stamped, and salt-finish options
Drainage integration — surface slope and catch basins where needed
How It Works
Our Concrete Work Process
Site Prep
Existing concrete removed if needed, subgrade excavated and compacted, base rock placed and compacted to specification.
Forms & Steel
Forms set to grade and level. Rebar or wire mesh placed per design. Fiber additive for driveways and structural slabs.
Pour & Finish
Concrete placed, screeded, floated, and finished to the specified surface texture. Control joints cut or tooled at proper spacing.
Cure & Seal
Curing compound applied. Sealer applied after sufficient cure time — typically 28 days for full strength.

Common Questions
Concrete Work FAQ
Concrete reaches about 70% of its design strength in 7 days and full strength at 28 days. We use curing compound to prevent premature drying.
Depends on the extent and cause. Surface cracks can be filled. Structural cracks with movement, or wide sections with heaving, typically need removal and replacement.
In most Bay Area jurisdictions, replacing an existing driveway in the same footprint doesn't require a permit. Expanding a driveway or adding new hardscape typically does. We verify before starting.
Stamped concrete has a pattern pressed into it while it's still fresh, mimicking the look of pavers, stone, or brick. It costs more than plain concrete but less than natural stone.
"Finished on the exact date they promised, kept the site clean every single day, and the work passed City inspection first visit. I've hired two contractors before — the difference is night and day."
"14 weeks start to finish on our backyard ADU. They pulled every permit, coordinated every trade, and handled every inspection. We had a paying tenant 30 days after the final walkthrough."
"They actually restored the wood instead of covering it up. Matched the original trim profiles, fixed the rot sections properly. They treated the house like it mattered — because to us, it does."
