Foundation Repair Materials and Methods

The right repair depends on what is actually failing. These are the approaches we use and when each one applies.

Epoxy and polyurethane injection
Used for: Non-moving cracks in poured walls

Fills the full depth of the crack and bonds it; polyurethane where water is still coming through.

Carbon fibre straps (StablWall)
Used for: Cracked or bowing walls

Resists further movement without excavating, and stays out of the way in a finished basement.

Helical piers (MacLean)
Used for: Underpinning a settling footing

Drilled down to bearing soil below the problem layer, and load-tested as they go in, so the capacity is measured rather than assumed.

Reinforced vapour barrier
Used for: Crawl space floors

Cuts the ground moisture that drives most of the rot we find under Northern California houses.

We explain every material choice in our proposals. You know what's going into your home and why before any work starts.
